Vinny Falls Short Against Marshall

Vinicius Magalhaes dropped a decision to Eliot Marshall this weekend at UFC 97. It was a tentative fight in which neither fighter seemed to want to take the action to the mat and instead traded punches and kicks for most of the fight. Finally, late in the third round Vinny decided to take his opponent to the mat where he quickly established a dominant position and began to pound away with punches and elbows. Unfortunately time ran out before he could finish Marshall off.

Vinicius Falls to Bader

The most decorated brazilian jiu jitsu player to ever step into the octagon never got a chance to showcase his skills in his Ultimate Fighter Finale. Vinicius Magalhaes chose to stand and trade with Ryan Bader and it proved to be his undoing as he took a heavy right hand behind the ear that left him unable to defend himself. Dissapointed but not done, Vinicius will be back and ready to prove himself!
